Is it Time?
The Tea Party has been wildly successful in re-directing the conversation about how America runs her finances. They have set standards, and you either fit in those standards or you don't.
In the past few years, they have demanded that the people they vote for, and give their endorsements too, adhere not only to a strict protocol of belief in certain principles but have had some previous and demonstrable success in carrying those principles out. Records are scrutinized to see if what they are saying on the campaign trail is matched by their previous actions. We have seen many politicians attempt to rise to the challenge of being seen as the "authentic conservative" in relation to financial concerns.
